Speaking Engagment

From time to time I am asked to do presentations in the community in regards to my passion for preserving the traditions, values and memories of our life through storybooking. I have been invited to speak to the Burlington Professional Women's Club on Wednesday, May 11th, 2016 at the Pine Street Cafe. I look forward to these presentations as day to day life can sometimes take us away from working on my projects. See you all Wednesday!

Nettie's Fountain Pen Reaches Extended Family

I recently was contacted by a Great-Grandaughter of John Greninger Jr. stating she had found information on the internet about Nettie's Fountain Pen. She was interested in getting a copy of the book and more information about my Great Grandma Nettie. When I compiled Nettie's Fountain Pen in 2008 this was exactly what I had hoped would happen. We have since exchanged family tree information and created a Facebook Group Decendants of John Greninger Sr. If you are a member of this family please request to join the group and share information with us.

I stopped by today to show her the page and what a cute place she has.  A wide variety of more than just flowers...... Unique decorating and gift items for everyone on  your list.of every style.

Stop by and check it out.

Joanne invited me to put both of my books, the Lyons Pictorial History and Nettie's Fountain Pen, on display.  They are available for purchase for $24.95 each.

Lyons Township Historical Society Inquiry

It is so rewarding to have a town of Lyons founding fathers relative contact me after finding information on the Lyons Township Historical Society web-site regarding their loved one.  It assures me that the work I do for the Historical Society is being viewed, utilized and possibly enjoyed by those interested in our town history.

I recently received an email from the wife of Sumner Chapin's great great grandson inquiring about the book that was written in 1947 by Hazel Loomis.   While this book is no longer in circulation, I believe there is a copy available at the Wisconsin Historical Society in Madison.  I do have plans to either reproduce this publication and/or post the information to the web-site.  Watch for updates.
